Brenda Schweder

Brenda Schweder is the author of Junk to Jewelry: A step-by-step guide to using found objects in jewelry you can actually wear andVintage Redux: Remake classic and collectible jewelry (Kalmbach Publishing Company).

A frequent contributor to BeadStyle magazine, Schweder co-authored the magazine’s Fashion Forecast column for its first four years. Schweder has been published in all of Kalmbach’s jewelry titles as well as a number of their pamphlets and books. Her third book, Steel Wire Jewelry (Lark Books), is scheduled for release in Spring, 2011. Also a nationally-recognized teacher and jewelry designer, she has the honor of being a Crystallized Swarovski Elements Ambassador. Schweder offers workshops using found and vintage objects in conjunction with iron wire, waxed fibers and Swarovski Crystallized Elements) at the Bead&Button Show in Milwaukee (June) each year.
