Add rich accents of of gold to your fine silver jewelry using Keum-boo, the art of attaching gold foil to fine silver. It’s quick and easy, and gives your work a new level of sophistication. Keum-boo is a great technique to add to your jewelry making skill set.
Keum-boo is a diffusion bonding process. Gold and silver are infinitely soluble into each other. When you apply heat and pressure, the molecules of metal diffuse into each other creating a permanent bond that will not chip or peel.
