Ready for my close-up.

Ready for my close-up.

Thursday February 23, 2012

I’m so thrilled to be in the spring issue of Studios from Cloth Paper Scissors.

But it’s also important confirmation about making a mindset, putting it out there, asking for help and then good old fashion follow-up.

I asked my wonderful and creative friend, Mr. G Burke if he would help me do a mock photo shoot in my studio. I shared my enthusiasm to see it published in Studios magazine as a way to get craftcast.com known in other creative communities, plus I knew we would have fun no matter what creating together.

Always important.

Since in our former work lives together, we created images for catalogs and magazines, plus Mr. B’s creative genius with the camera, it was easy to get started and we filled the day with photo setups galore.

It was just the perfect ending when Linda Blinn, the editor of Studios, called to say how much she loved the photos and could I write a story to accompany the visuals.

Can’t say that writing is my strong suit.
I’m better with talking.
If you’ve listened to my podcast you know I can talk.

But the writing fell under the category of follow-up.
And it was actually fun to write.

I do love this magazine.
I love seeing other peoples work spaces.

I love seeing their creative mess.

I did clean mine up a bit for the photos.
I’ll show the messy photos another time.
I love a good creative mess.
:)
