I was able to spend sometime in the studio working on my own jewelry pieces.
Always fun to do.
I had picked up the large drusy chips, the zircon beads, and the unknown mineral formation at a few different shows. My new color palette is centered around cool greys, ochres, and of course something white and sparkly…
I’ve been inspired by Robert Dancik’s class to experiment with cold connections. When you are use to using a torch and solder, it’s a whole new way to think through the design of the piece. Lots of other design solutions are available.
I’m going to re-watch the class and review the tab setting part before I start my next piece!

This is beautiful Alison. I have a piece of druzy this color that my friend sent me from Mumbai. I ham holding on to it until the moment is just right to make something spectacular with it.
Thanks Dawn. I love druzies!
