When I was little, I loved watching the “plate spinning” act on The Ed Sullivan Show. It was strangely entertaining. Mr. Sullivan would introduce an interesting looking gentleman. Then without any words spoken, the man’s partner, in full cocktail dress regalia, would hand him broomsticks and a china plates, one pair at a time. Maybe not real china, but dramatically breakable as we would find out.

I’ve been living just out of NYC now for a bit, and have adapted to certain things but not all. One that is really hard to adapt to is the lack of restaurants to call for food delivery. Please don’t judge me too harshly, but yes, I, like 1000’s of NYC’ers ordered out, on a nightly basis, a variety of fabulous food that was delivered right to my door. 
(and yes I even ordered in scrambled egg breakfast for my son ....)

I love a checklist.
Don’t you.
Even for the simplest things.
It keeps me focused. 

Sometimes I write down a task even after I’ve done it, just so I can check it off.
I know, a bit crazy, but it feels good when something gets done and I like the reward of the check.
