As this year comes to a close, I wanted to share some of my favorite life lessons of 2012.
I love them all, even the ones that sting...

When I was little, I loved watching the “plate spinning” act on The Ed Sullivan Show. It was strangely entertaining. Mr. Sullivan would introduce an interesting looking gentleman. Then without any words spoken, the man’s partner, in full cocktail dress regalia, would hand him broomsticks and a china plates, one pair at a time. Maybe not real china, but dramatically breakable as we would find out.

I’ve been living just out of NYC now for a bit, and have adapted to certain things but not all. One that is really hard to adapt to is the lack of restaurants to call for food delivery. Please don’t judge me too harshly, but yes, I, like 1000’s of NYC’ers ordered out, on a nightly basis, a variety of fabulous food that was delivered right to my door. 
(and yes I even ordered in scrambled egg breakfast for my son ....)

Woo Hoo. I'm so excited about the line up of classes this fall. There are so many new things in the works and I can hardly wait to share them all with you!

I love a checklist.
Don’t you.
Even for the simplest things.
It keeps me focused. 

Sometimes I write down a task even after I’ve done it, just so I can check it off.
I know, a bit crazy, but it feels good when something gets done and I like the reward of the check.

I could play it for hours and hours. Always trying to figure out the next right move.

Are you stuck, like really stuck and can’t get moving?

Oh that can wait till another day...
I don’t have time to deal with that right now...
I’ll drop this on the to do pile over there...
Tomorrow I’ll send in the entry form for that show...

I did some very early Spring cleaning. I love love love Spring, and cleaning up after winter is very exciting. Even though there was only one snow storm this winter, so can't complain at all about the weather.

Yesterday I received a book of stencils called “See the Beauty Here” by Chronicle Books. Over morning cup of c, I took a look though the different sayings. This one caught my attention.
